Polk CS400i with extra tweet

Options
I know this is probably a long shot here since shipping will probably kill the deal, but I figured I would give it a shot. I bought this years ago on eBay for super cheap and it was in rough shape. Grill was hammered, vinyl peeling, lots of scratches. I used it for awhile as is sans grill, eventually some kid pushed in the tweeter. So I refurbed it a bit. Removed the vinyl, painted the whole thing black, and found a new grill and tweeters on eBay. I thing it looks pretty good now, and it sounds awesome just as it should. And it comes with an extra tweeter if a polkie purchased it!

I am looking for $75, and I should be able to ship it most places CONUS for about $25 with my FedEx account, so let’s say $100 shipped CONUS with extra tweeter. PayPal unless I know ya; Please cover any applicable fees.

Thanks!

A simply fantastic speaker that should not be underestimated, and an absolute beast (large & heavy), but will still fit in (or on) many cabinets. Easy to drive load (very efficient) and the sound never disappoints!

No affiliation, but previously part of one of my best setups along with four RT55 in 5.1, but the RT800 would be similar, so highly recommended IMO (almost essential, really) for anyone running the RT or RTi line from that period.

    Repairs look great! GLWTS!

And as with all refurbs of vintage speakers, I will not get back all I put into it...

I have read that this also blends pretty well with SDAs but I haven’t never heard them so I can’t confirm.

Just to give you a heads up (fantastic center btw as I used to have one until I upgraded to the larger CS-1000p) The CS-400 used the SL-6502 tweeter and the CS-400i that you have here uses the SL-6506 tweeter.
Good luck with the sale for an excellent piece of kit!

Ok, it's been a long week, and I'm not thinking straight, but I clicked to see how you retrofit an "extra" tweeter in to this speaker. Some times I'm a little slow.

    GLWTS!

It took me a minute to realize that you didn't actually add an ambiance tweeter to this thing and it's just an extra driver lol, glwts
