Something in the air?

I stopped at a grocery store that happened to be on my way home today. Groceries loaded I go to put my cart into the little cart corral in the parking lot and see a small purse in a cart there. Looking around I don't see any females close by, so I take it into the store. There's an older lady customer at the CS desk who finishes her business and walks away. As I step up I see a large purse sitting to one side of the counter, which I'm sure belongs to the lady, so I get her attention. Sure enough it's hers. I hand the small purse to the CS person and walk out the door shaking my head wondering what's in the air at this store.

You should have put a note inside the purse that said, "YOU CAN'T BI-AMP WITH AN AVR!"

I'm just shocked Jesse was out in the daylight... wonder what kind of SPF has to be in a sunblock for a vampire.

I once found a woman's billfold deal loaded with cash and credit cards under the seat on a Delta flight. I turned it in to a flight attendant and hoped the Delta person would do the same. Funny thing about Karma....I left my IPad on a flight about a year later and actually got it back!

I found a wallet in the mens room at our local casino, full of cash etc. I turned it in and was expecting some good luck my way. Sat down at the blackjack table and lost $900.00. So much for the good karma.

    Be careful Jessie.

FWIW I loved that song when I was a kid. Dare I say I am guilty by Association?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I found a HUGE university gold ring. Got it back to it's owner who was a football player on the front line. He was maybe 6"4" and 250lbs. He was a big guy and very nice too. "He thanked us with a letter of gratitude and a 50.00 bill in an envelope he said to open after he left with it.

I found a HUGE women's wallet in the middle of the road. It had 600+ cash in it plus a ton of CC's. When my wife handed it back to the owner (she was about 25), she didn't even say "thank you".

Found a very nice I-phone. Tracked down the owner. She sent some guy to pick it up. He took it, turned and left. No thank you either.

I saw a 100.00 bill drop out of my sister-in-law's purse. She was across the room in a cruise ship's restaurant. She was long gone, going back to gambling when I picked it up. I finished eating with my wife and then returned it to her. She said "oh!"
    No thank you either.

Yea, I still did the right things and "always will". Everybody should

I could tell 2 more stories that would prove my point even more about "who I am in the "do the right thing" character assessment but that should be left untold except for the most private and trusted conversations. ;)

I lost my wallet and never saw it again many, many years before any of these events happened with a weeks' paycheck in it. :'(

You'd think I would've kept any one of these peoples' lost money or item as a "hey, somebody kept mine, it's my turn now.

But I did do the right thing BECAUSE...

    I believe in Karma.

I also believe Karma is sewn into the acts of doing the right things. <3
You know the saying..."The threads of life bind us all together".
    5yxiv03xq8bc.png

I also believe if you/I don't do the right thing, bad things will befall upon you/I too. :#

And I've lived long enough to see BOTH sides of life's karma through other people and myself too.

A few years ago I was driving my Harley to the Police Station to register a new handgun purchase. Bill of sale, ownership transfer papers, etc, only to find that the saddlebag that I placed them in had fallen off the bike!

Great. Thinking about all the red tape to get the transaction re-verified, I drove up and down the route I took several times to no avail.

A few hours later, I get a call from a woman who found the saddlebag, and offered to come to the house and return it! Wow! I offered her $100 for her trouble, and she refused to accept.

2 things I learned that day:

    1. There are still plenty of good people out there

    2. Use thread locker next time I attach the saddlebag!
