I Just ordered a pair of LSiM705's

Finally convinced the wife to let me order a pair which was a battle. She hates the thought of bigger speakers in our main room. They had better sound a lot better than my S55's as I had to over come a lot of WAF to order them.

Wish me luck.

People say different things about break-in time. My LSiM 703's sounded pretty bad when I first hooked them up, then they went up and down for the first 50 hours I'd say, and it was a long time before they finally broke in completely, I'm thinking it was 100 hours or more maybe total, but after about 50 it was less and less down and more sweet sweet.

Yep, my 705's were terrible right out of the box. Things started improving after 30-40. Somewhere around 200 they stopped changing. Do yourself a favor. When you first hook them up, listen long enough to verify nothing is broken. Then stream something or put a CD on repeat for a few days before giving them another listen.

    Nice congrats.

Once your wife see how nice they look vs the S55 she will like them. You system with that outlaw amp will drive them nicely .

As for break in. I find most speakers take at least 50 hours give or take. The Advents I just got for work had just had the foam replaced. First few CD's the bass sounded like junk, now they are nice and smooth.

They really are a beautiful speaker. The Signature speakers fit the rustic, country, euro, etc. decors. The LSiM with its car paint finish, curved top, streamline shape will blend in just about any upscale interior.

It’s okay I paid a lot more for my 705s a few years back. Totally worth it.
