Should I add a Velodyne ULD-15 to my system?

I love bass. My current system sounds awesome. Freshly upgraded SDA 2B TL with the gear listed in my sig below. I own this Sub and have an opportunity to get the servo restored. Someone at Polk told me it might be nice if i sent the frequency to 40 htz. What do you guys recommend? Use or no? If i use it what would you recommend?

When i have had this sub incorporated in my system in the past (as is) it took away the fullness of the sound of the SDA's. I don't want to affect the way the speakers sound at all.

Thanks

I've always loved Velodyne subs. I've had a few. I might still have one.

I had a chance to buy this model too but I didn't have the money. 200.00. :#

I'm a believer in most speakers benefit from having a sub playing too.

Now With SDA's, I don't think I've ever had a sub playing with them also.

    Interesting.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

If it is taking away from the fullness of this speakers cross them over lower. They should only help pick up the slack at the roll off of lower frequencies.

Do you know what frequency i would need to set the crossover to?

run your speakers full range and set the sub to 40Hz like Polk stated for a start then lower/raise more if needed

Certainly give it a try! You can dial it in, as your preference dictates. BTW I'm a bass lover too!
