Antenna

Suggestions for the best rooftop TV antenna, long rang and 4K ready. Solid reception is a must. Not sure if directional or bi-directional would be better. I sit approximately 60 miles from the city so a range of 70 miles in an antenna puts me right at the fringe. Maybe something with a 100+ mile range.

This one works great for me tony, but the farthest stations i am pulling are about 40-50 miles away, most are much closer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0024R4B5C?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

This might not be helpful, but I mounted mine to my old satellite dish using these instructions: https://m.imgur.com/a/5ORVZ

I have two antennas on my roof now and I join the signals together and I get great reception now. This antenna helped out with our reception. It only says it's a 45 mile range though.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DFTGR4

I also have this one, and it was my first antenna that I used stand alone, and it worked fairly good. It's just smaller. It says it has a longer range tough - go figure.

I would also suggest you get a signal booster/amplifier as well.

I personally stayed away from the motorized antennas that you need to point in a certain direction to get signals.

I would also suggest looking at the other sites below to get an idea on where to point your antenna if you haven't don so already. This is why I chose to get two antennas as there are two different towers in different locations for our channels. I point one antenna in the direction of one tower and the other at the subsequent tower.

Hope some of this helps. We live near the mountains so I take that into consideration with our signals. If you live in a relatively flat area, you can probably get better signal reception.

Look for channel master and winegard. I bought a deep fringe CM and the appropriate pre amp and amp and it work super for all tv/fm i needed. Great people to deal with and for most of what i was looking for cheaper

Edit damn I just seen they are going out of business crying shame. Give them a call Tony 50% all phone orders.

    Digital.
    Cliff.

    :/

I hope you fare better than we did in Boston (only about 50 miles from the transmitters, but we lost many of the stations) when analog OTA TV went away.

We can get one OTA station (Vermont public TV) in NH... we did actually get basic cable (since we use cable for internet, anyway), but we don't really watch it.

I feel like this thread would have been incomplete if you hadn’t replied. :D:D I mean who better to provide feedback on a rooftop antenna.

I’ll try to make this my last Dad joke tonight.

FYI regarding this antenna, I am pulling in all the stations that I can and they all have great reception.
