So I think that Jasper ( @SCompRacer ‘s cat) has been moonlighting in children’s books. Was reading a book to my daughter about cats tonight, and there he was!!!

Ain't that the truth! Lots of OT, he's been posting a bit on Facebook. If I remember I'll show him this link.

    Better late than never?

My little buddy is published! Here he is, dreaming about putting a bite on me.

Work! Argh! A guy retired in March. They didn't hire anyone until September. They forced lots of overtime. I'm too old for that many hours. Our manager quit. A hardass took over. I got suspended for a few days telling him how to manage. I wrote to our VP. He had a skip level meeting with our work group and brought a managing director along. They sent the hardass to a peoples workshop. We now have a fifth guy approved, but I have a target on my back from the sr manager from going around him. A new manager started Monday.

May your furry friend Jasper bring you comfort and solace during these difficult times at your job. I know my cat always lightens my mood!

  • Hope your cat lightens your mood in a way which my cat does each time.
  • Good luck!!

Those hardass managers never change no matter how many times they go to a workshop. They don't know what they don't know because usually it is empathy that has been missing since a kid. It's emotional not knowledge. A psychiatrist would be better than a workshop.

Jasper could teach him a thing or two.

A hardass does not have the people skills to be a manager and should not be put in a leadership position. They will only restrict the potential of everyone concerned, including the ultimate success of the business.
