For the last 3 days it has been 99/100+ temperature here. Okay, no problem, just slow down and sit in front of the fan. However, since I retired last month I like to drink beer and listen to the stereo on Tuesday night, in addition to Friday and Saturday night. So, tonight, Tuesday, I had to run the AC, and after 4 hours the house has gone from the high 80s to 75. Much better, I must say. This is the first time I ran the AC this year, and I am happy it works. I rarely use the heating part in the winter, but then the stereo is an asset. :)

Since you retired, you should start a new thread called, "It's A Bluefox Kinda Tuesday Night!" Make it all about your retirement and your change in lifestyle. We'll live vicariously through you. It will give us commoners something to look forward to in our twilight.

LOL, are you saying that Bud is in his twilight:
1.the soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon
    2. a period or state of obscurity, ambiguity, or gradual decline.

Get your A/C checked out... make sure it is functioning properly so that when you do have those heat waves it runs efficiently. They all eventually leak some of their refrigerant and will run but not to optimal efficiency. 95+ puts a stress on most A/C units.

Turned it off, and the stereo, when I went to bed around 3 AM. In the low 80s now inside, so just sitting watching TV with a fan blowing. Hopefully, it won't be so hot Saturday when the stereo is turned on again.
