hidden sub and quality of sound

I am getting LSi25s for mains and want to move my sub behind me. The only spot that meets with WAF is under an end table next to a sofa.
My question is will the sound be impacted negatively. Has anyone really hidden their sub without any sound problems. Will there be a muffled factor. Thanks Henry

First, welcome to the Club...
With the 25's I'd expect you are crossing over to the sub at a fairly low frequency, 80 Hz or less. Down there I'd expect losses will be minimal as deep bass is very hard to kill.
The sub's relationship with your room and your listening position will have more impact on its performance than being "hidden".
More later,
Tour...

Recommend the LSi15 and the best sub you can afford instead. An 80 Hz xo is perfect for movies, and for music only you can go even lower. I wouldn't go below 50 Hz with the 15's, regardless."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
