Yes, a lot of s m u t in my inbox with the occasional sale. I originally posted a link to the sale, but wasn't sure if I was allowed to, since you have to be a friend or family. You were probably removed from that list after the noise filter debacle. :open_mouth:

Not at all. They're available for less on the Adorama site. Been that way for months.
The cherry (orange) finished versions are listed as closeout now. Maybe they're clearing the decks for something better? :)

Is the difference for HT between the Rtis and Lsims night and day? I finally have an amp that can push them and adorama has a pair of lsim 707s for $1849.

Larry and I went from RTi to LSiM about the same time. Keep in mind, Larry has a lot more audio experience than I do. He liked the LSiM much better. I liked the RTi better for HT only. And the RTi had a more forward sound, I think is the proper term. In my case, I was/am not using external amplification, so I had the front three set to small and let the HSU take all the lows to relieve stress on my AVR. For dual purpose, LSiM all the way. I just felt that the LSiM had a much more laid back sound for HT. Maybe because I was so used to the bright RTi line and maybe they would have grown on me with more time in the HT system. Short answer is it's gonna depend on who you ask and what specific models you are comparing. In my case, RTi8 & CSi5 vs. LSiM703 & 706c. I'm very happy with my decision to go with two separate systems. RTi for HT, LSiM for music. Just my opinion.

Disclaimer: I know little about audio.

I think that’s a very reasonable assessment. RT=reference theater, and the bright and forward sound of the RTis makes for a fun HT experience. My brother in-law has some of the big klipsch reference towers and they are awesome for movies.

As for this sale, I am not sure what Polk is trying to accomplish since they are cheaper at Adorama...

The RtiA are also on sale. Not quite as much off percentage wise, but seriously great bang for the buck for home theater use.

Rooftop, thats one of the other 2 brands Im looking at for what fits my use case (primary HT, secondary music.) Lsims, Klipsch RPs or something from deftech.

Or just buy the larger csia center to match my current rtis (and a stand for it) and call it a day. Ive also considered adding a pair of A9s up front, the A6 center and moving the rti10s to rear duty.

Either way, Id like to bump it up a notch.

Pulled the trigger on a pair of A9s, the CsiA6, and a stand for the center. Looking forward to a hopefully noticeable upgrade!

Received the A9s and A6 center over lunch today. Got the A6 unboxed and on its stand and holy smokes at the size of that thing. The A9's look monstrous too, but didn't have time to unbox over lunch. I can't wait to get everything finalized tonight!

Crutchfield. Their home store is an hour away so it was definitely a fast turnaround.

I will hold out for the F&F after they relaunch SDA. It's kind of like waiting on a C8 Vette at this point.
