A bunch of mismatches in the first round , except for N.O. vs Miami.
In the second round:
IND vs MIA - Miami may squeak one out at home. IND in 5.
MIN vs SAC - Minnesota surprised me in that first game. I thought they'd be up for the task. I think SAC in 6 or 7 though.
LA vs SA - LA is cooked! They haven't played very well for the past month. They might win one at home. SA in 5.
DET vs NJ - This is the only one that stumps me. Will tonite be a repeat of game one or does NJ learn to score? What do you think?

I think that Indiana will sweep. The Pacers are just too talented.
Wolves in seven, this is a close one but I think that first loss will wake them up.
I think LA will win the next two at home but SA will win in 6 like last year.
I say Detroit in 6. They seem to be very focused, I am looking forward to Indiana v Detroit in the conference finals. Carlisle v Brown, against their old teams. Now that is going to be a close series.Graham -
Looks like you and me are the only basketball fans here g.a.
I'm actually an L.A. fan but they are so out of sync right now it's pathetic. Shaq couldn't make a free-throw if he shot from right under the basket.
Speaking about missing, did you see all of those shots Miami missed last night in the first half?! Unbelievable!2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. No, didn't catch that game.
I cant stand LA, or at least Kobe and Phillip. I hope they dont come back next season. Shaq has the worst form (maybe Anthony Mason is worse), he pushes the ball right at the basket.
You gotta admit that SA is pretty exciting to watch, Parker is so quick.Graham -
Not really following the West too closely however, I think SA is the team to beat again this year.
I thought the Nets had the game last night but fell apart in the second half. I'll be working the game on Sunday night (security guard at CAA). Looking for them to take both at CAA but it doesn't look too good for them after that. I'd like to say Nets in 6 but my gut tells me Detroit in 6.
I also think Indy will sweep their series but, as much as I like the Nets (don't pity me, I'm from Jersey  ), it looks like a Detroit/Indy ECF.
With that said, I think it will be SA & Detroit in the Finals this year with it being a battle of the big men.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.

I guess everyone stopped watching as there have been no more posts in this thread.
Looks like all of the home teams have won on their respective courts. Everything seems to be knotted up at 2-2. I think the Nets will take Detroit, in Detroit, on Friday night (they have the momentum coming off of their 2 big home wins) and come back to win in NJ on Sunday. Detroit had their egos badly beaten in NJ and I think it will be hard for them to come back. Billups & R Wallace and both complaining of injuries so I think NJ will take Game 5 in Detroit.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support

I still think Detroit can win this, but this series is turning out to be closer than I though.
I also still like the Wolves and Pacers but LA is looking scary now. Kobe is determined and they seemed to have slowed down Parker from getting into the lane. Duncan needs to have a big game tonight.Graham -
what a game!
GO LAKERS!!! -

Great game last night between NJ & Detroit. Should never have gone into OT if Kidd & Kittles made their free throws. Billups with an incredible 3 point shot at the buzzer. Unbelievable save by Scalabrine, along with crucial 3's gave the Nets the win.
Looks like they close it out in NJ on Sunday (thank God I'm working the game).Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support

With all the talk of Larry Brown being the "better" coach, I'm suprised that he didn't take advantage of the Nets big men fouling out. With only Scalabrine left for OT, he still had Okur, Campbell, & Milicic on the bench "not" in foul trouble. Veal had 4 or 5 fouls on him already and Lawrence Frank had no more big men on the bench.
I think that alone would have secured a Detroit win.
FWIW, good luck to Detroit on Sunday but I think it's all over for them.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support

OK....I'm changing my prediction for LA/SA.....instead of SA in 5 I'm going with LA in 6
NJ and LA coming back from 0-2 deficits in the same year is incredible!
Today I'm going with SAC to even it and NJ to win it.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. SA was **** slapped by LA, what a bunch of chokers. Thats it, LA is goind to take it this year.
I think the Wolves will finish off SAC tonight and those scrappy Heat players will push this one to Seven, but Indiana will win at home.
I have no idea what will happen between Detroit and NJ. NJ does have the momentum though.Graham -

hehehahahoho--Hey Dragon you need to eat a little crow bird on this one!!:D -
Well NJ started off good, but in the second period they couldn't hit water if they fell off of a boat. Very dissapointing showing for the home team. Don't know if they can take it in Detroit but I can always hope.
Got to meet Bruce Willis on Sunday night at the game. Very cool dude. Took pictures with the fans and signed a few autographs (myself included).
Anyway, Game 7 can't come soon enough.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support

Its Wolves-Lakers now, probably Lakers in 6.
Should be a good game tonight for game seven in Detroit. I am guessin that Detroit will take it with home court and momentum from the game 6 win in NJ. Eitherway, the Eastern Conference final should be a very close match.Graham -
I didn't get to see tonight's Nets-Pistons game, but it sounded pretty ugly. Pistons by 21 and Jason Kidd got shut out - ZERO points! I think the Pistons will beat the Pacers, and I'll be rooting for the T-wolves, but the Lakers have me worried.

You said it! That is probably the worst I have seen the Nets play in 3 seasons! Congrats to Detroit. The way the Nets played, they deserve to lose. Only Nets to step up were Martin, Jefferson, & probably Rogers. And they didn't even play up to par. Kidd was slow, careless, and in my opinion, didn't help the team at all.
I think Detroit will beat the Pacers in 6. I would also like to see a Detroit/T'Wolves Finals.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
