SDA 2B TL.

I've had these since 02. I'd like to see $500. If not, I'll keep them until my walls change. You need space for these Polks. Not recommended for apartments. Although, I've done it. I've done most of the repairs and upgrades. The only thing left to do is, new fabric. I've done: The 'TL' upgrade.
Much better tweeter and upgraded capacitors on the crossover.
Upgraded SDA cable with Neutrick connectors
Much improved Binding post board with real binding posts
Dynomatted inside cabinet
Speaker magnets JB Welded
Speaker frames dynomatted
Better speaker mounts and air seals
Comes with adjustable floor spikes
I haven't posted in a while, but I was a regular for a while. As you know, these are big and not light. I'm in zip code 33460

Mike, GLWTS. The mods look great. I also have SDA 2B TL speakers and love them. This is a good deal and I hope these stay in the Polk family. Heck, I was tempted to get these myself for a 2nd system but FL is just a bit too far from NY. Any Polkies in/near FL should grab these. The 2B TLs are some of the best sounding SDAs, imho.

No reason to put that in the cabinet anyway..

Also, I upgraded the bass coil on the crossover (see pic) I will include 4 more uninstalled coils. I believe there for the sda and high end. They're mfgd by Jantzen

    The original is disconnected.

Yes. The crossover still mounts to the retired coil

I see your cloth is coming off the side panels. The same thing happened to my SDA-2 speakers. Plus the side panels warped and couldn't be flattened to stay on. That is why I got rid of mine. If not for that I might still have them.

Ya. The cosmetics are a project I never got to. With the grille on you can't see the fabric that's separating in the picture

Too far away for me too. Also my favorite of the whole line because they can just disappear and don’t tend to overload bass in medium sized rooms. Yet they handle a lot of power, get really loud, and produce solid true stereo sound. Fun speakers even in stock form.

The side boards separating is very common and an easy fix with some patience and care getting them completely off and put back in place.

Always amazing. When we'll fed, the bass is clear deep and impactful. Definitely the best I've owned.
