Hey guys - how much breathing room do you give your HCA 2205A amplifiers(for those of you who have this amp)? The manual is calling for 6" of room on the sides - but is that from the amp or from the heat sinks, and is that on each side - or 3 inches on each side for a combined total of 6"?

6 on each side, the amp runs warm so you need some circulation around it.HT SYSTEM-

Your Denon should be fine in a cabinet so long as its got some room to get air.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

awesome, maybe ill move the denon in the cabinet so the parasound can have all the room in the world. when you say it gets pretty warm - how warm are we talking? will it burn you from touching it? (ive got little rugrats that are the right height)(2) Rti A7's

Would there be any benefit to throwing one in the top of cabinet to pull out warm air as well?Post edited by Bgoodfella on(2) Rti A7's

Or the back or side if there are vents. Basically just trying to pull hot air out of the unit and either circulate or get it out of the cabinet.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
