Is it possible to use the Magnifi Sub without the Bar?

So I stumbled on this sub today and I didn’t see the bar speaker. I noticed that it has a 3.5mm jack in the back, but it doesn’t seem to work when plugged directly into my laptop. Is it possible to get this unit to work in standalone?

    It's a wireless sub, it only works with the soundbar.
