The AKG Q701 are great, comfortable headphones for critical listening with a flat response. They are the Quincey Jones Signature line equivalent of the AKG K7-series, but with the detachable cable of the K702 or K712 PRO. They are open backs, meaning they don’t block noise by design, but their soundstage is spacious. They are quite large but are relatively lightweight for their size. They were designed to appreciate high-quality audio in a quiet environment.

Per a question from a member, these have not been around smoke, and are the made in Austria version.

While I would love to have them, my Austrian built Studio K240s will have to suffice as I cannot justify owning 4 sets of good quality headphones.
GLWS. These are a fantastic set of cans and a bargain at this price."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

I’m also selling my Fostex Dekoni Blue planar headphones if you are interested.

Noted after a discussion with a member, these are best driven off an amp or dedicated headphone output, not a smart phone due to the sensitivity.
