Great amp for sale. I’ve had several over the years and keep coming back to them whenever I need solid, inexpensive power. This one is in about the best shape of the used ones I’ve owned, but one rack ear did get bent in shipping and the previous owner bent it back. Other than that, there are a few small scratches, but no other major imperfections. Face is pretty clean.

$200 plus actual shipping for polkies with 100 posts. Paypal preferred. Please cover any applicable fees. Thanks!

    Yep, this is one the the classic amps that has really held its value over the years. You will not lose any money if you decide to resell any time in the foreseeable future...

    I have the HCA-1000(not the A version) so slightly older and not a thing wrong with it. Good amp for the $$.

    The 1000A is 45 AMPS peak current, 125 watts a channel, THX certified, mono option for a sub. Also has remote trigger. The 1000 had 25 AMPS peak, 100 WPC, no remote option FWIW...

    I have one that I bought from a fellow Polk Audio member. One channel was out but it turned out to be a broken solder joint, easy fix. I decided to refresh the caps but there wasn't much need. All the caps I pulled out were still in good spec. An older Parasound amp that I had (HCA-800ii) had many bad caps but that was before John Curl stepped in. The HCA-1000A has much better quality caps. I was able to upgrade the power supply caps to higher capacity and higher voltage rating. With advice from Mr. Curl himself, I was able to set the bias quite a bit higher than the factory setting. It is a really nice amp.
