I forget how I happened across Daniel Lanois. I think it may have been one of his songs, Jolie Louise, that I might have heard on Radio Paradise, which @hermitism got me turned on to a few weeks ago.

I've seen and heard Daniel Lanois's name over the years, maybe even heard some of his stuff before, but not sure. For those who don't know, he's worked with and produced music for some big names out there, like Brian Eno, U2, Peter Gabriel, and Neil Young, as well as his own music.

I was just messing around YouTube and happened across this interview. Only watched a little of it so far, but seems interesting. Talk of humble beginnings growing up in a musical household, stuff like that. Gonna pass this up to the TV system at some point for a proper view, and thought I'd share it here.

They took away the Groovy Channel. WTF? It's like Mars, the candy company that makes M&M's, eliminating the red M&M. Which we all know is the superior M&M.

He produced two albums with Bob Dylan, the last of which won a Grammy for best album in about ‘96 called Time Out Of Mind, which imho is the best of the modern Dylan albums and one of his best ever. The other album was Oh Mercy in ‘89 which they recorded in a house in New Orleans, another really good album!
