I have one of these cabinets to display some collectibles in the basement. Man Cave style curio cabinet! Solidly built, all aluminum, rivets, plexiglass. They don't come up very often.

Did I show some of the speakers I tested the past 2 weeks or less already? I think I posted the JBL monsters with an amp problem. I found the RCA jack on the amp is loose the other day when my friends were over, causing the amp to be hit or miss with powering the woofers. I still need to look at that! :#

Or should these pics of spares go into the Post a Picture thread?

Like these? Sorry, I went back to the post a picture thread and saw I HAVE posted those from last week's fun. New ones to come...in the picture thread soon.

Tony, it's a shame you can't have all those speakers connected for the 4th. I can see that storage "bunker" rocking and "exploding".

aprazer402, I have a "friend" who is a hoarder and garage sale fanatic. His yard looks like the picture. I will try to take a pic and post both together soon. He cannot turn down anything. His house is filled too. He has a restored 55 Chevy in the garage that he can't drive because it is blocked by items. He sold the Chevy once then bought it again a couple months later when he missed it. He has a box truck in his driveway filled to the brim, too. The box truck is for taking items to the auctions in North Georgia. Needless to say, he has had problems with code enforcement.

Oh yes, seen several places like this, the ones with lots of yard items are usually rural. One noted place 40 miles or so north of town, a small farm, where the old guy had assorted stuff along with about 10-12 old Omaha city buses from the 1950's. He has passed and the place was cleared out and sold. Another one, also rural, bordering a four-lane highway has a ton of stuff. Right along the front of his lot, there is approx. 2,000 linear feet!!! of old windows stacked upright in a row, like a hedge. Window salvaging must have been his favorite. It's been there for years. I've never seen anyone ever looking at the stuff. No for sale signs! He's a hoarder. Have been in many foreclosed homes where hoarders and their goods had to be evicted. It got ugly a few times. Where do they take it? They usually have no family willing to accept the stuff, they sometimes have so much they can't afford (feasible, has little value to anyone else) to have it moved. I've seen women hoarders sit and cry over it. It's a disorder. Really sad to see!

P.S. I'll admit I'm guilty, to a point, of having too many of several things. Most of it has some value. But what is the 30th Phillips screwdriver worth? Law of diminishing returns! Polk speakers and audio gear on the other hand? ;)

Seeing the Hoarder program episodes usually makes my stomach nauseas.

I wonder how they make the people/home owners/renters look so clean that live in such filth. Does the show send them to a hotel for the night w/beautician or male image advisor? Probably.

I also have had a few neighbors who don't do yard work or house maintenance. They're nice seemingly normal people who just don't see their houses falling apart,
yard "hoard" mess or Mother Nature trying to reclaim her space.

Or they just don't care about much of ANYTHING anymore.
