    The cat was not that old either... if that were my cat and I was living in Malibu driving a new Ferrari because of it, (not sure where they lived)I think I would have had veterinary appointments, complete with all lab tests once a month just to protect my source of income, and an insurance policy to boot.

    You know it doesn't work that way John. All the money in the world can't stop you from getting and dying from cancer.

    Urinary tract infections in cats can and does kill no matter how much money you have.

    I do agree, but something like that, if caught early enough in cats, can also be treated. I had a Maine Coon get UTI, and she was treated lived several more years. The key is early intervention, and in cats, that could mean just a couple of weeks.
