Been wanting to fix the factory enclosures on my office-turned- bedroom speakers for awhile. Coaxial NS-B2111 models that sound very good except the cabs resonate around 800hz-1khz only when cranked up. Opened them up last night and now see the problem. The inner kerfing was never back-filled from factory. So I filled in all the kerfing areas with Tite-Bond and then added a layer of Thick Butyl mat.... All glue is dry, now reassembled with factory sound foam .... the hollow thud and cab sound is gone.....
