is it possible to hook 1 single voice coil sub up to 2 amps???its a 15 inch crnuch fat boy

    well... yes, actually.
    It requires a transformer.

    the transformer basically has one winding for one input, one for another. so 4 input wires, or 2 pairs to be precise. then it has a pair of wires coming out for the sub.

    This is normally called an impedance matching transformer, and it's commonly used the other way around.... to put 2 , say 8ohm speakers on a system that needs an 8ohm load... so it Would have one speaker on each of the two outputs, and the amp on the input....

    SOOOO if you turn it around, it has the opposite effect:
    two inputs that see 4ohms each for the amps, and the output that goes to the 4ohm sub... it will let you do what you want, but you need an expensive one for the power that I'm sure you are talking about. R.S. carries one that might go to 15w, but you'd need to find a much larger one.
