DSWPRO 600 or SVS PB1000

I have an opportunity to upgrade my entry level subs (PSW111) and get a pair of DSwpro 600 subwoofers cheap. I have been keeping an eye on a pair of SVS PB1000. Should I go for the DSWPRO or stick to my plans with SVS?

Welcome to CP! I must say, either one will be a gigantic leap from the PSW111. I have all 3, in different setups, and my fave is the SVS!

I’ll offer a counter: if you are a flipper, someone who is comfortable buying and selling, and if the dsws are a really good deal, so much so that you could flip without losing anything, then give them a try! If you’re happy u saved lots of cash. If not, sell them and get the better subs. The SVS are better. But that’s all things being equal. If the polks are a lot cheaper, then maybe they are better for u right now...

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that he will get what he paid for them back, in order to once again have to purchase a new sub. Then there is also the loss of time and aggravation of having to pack them back up and pay exorbitant postage to ship them back out.

Why settle for good when he knows right off the bat that he can afford to get the better product?

I hate doing things twice. It's just a waste of both time and money.

@rooftop59 does have a good point. I did exactly that. Got the DSW from @F1nut a while back for a smoking deal, love it, still use it, and then got the SVS for other setups.

Well it's a journey after all. Either one will be a huge leap forward. If it is a great deal, snag em, and continue on the journey!

I could get a pair of DSWPRO 600 for $200. And just now a new opportunity came up for a single SVS SB12-NSD for $100. All are available in my area for pick-up through facebook marketplace (never used it) 🤔

For that price I would get all three assuming they are in good condition and fully functioning. Give them a really good work out before purchasing. resell the ones you don’t want on eBay. You might just find a place for all three ;-)

Care to divulge where "available in my area" is? I'd take any/all of those subs* if they were within 100 miles of me and in good shape [and I already own TWO SVS subs ;)]

*assuming you pass on either of those deals, not trying to steal them from you.

    Welcome to the Forum, too!
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Southeast Florida guys. I was very skeptical too but just got the SVS SB12NSD for $100 and the guy added for free 3 Martin Logan Motion 8. I have no use for the martin logans but I may be setting up a HT on my bedroom with these and the PSW 111s 😬 or I may sell them on ebay. The sub looks good just dusty no scratches or dents. I’m dying to get home...

Probably a good thing, that's just a bit far from eastern LI... although they could be floated up the Gulf Stream to me on the cheap? B)

That's a heck of a score on the SVS, let us know when you get it dialed in.

Great score on the SVS. Heck If I saw a SB12 for $100 I'd jump on it even if I didn't need it.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
