Dare I ask who's mower that is?

    Russ. :)

We have a Husqvarna mower, that I like a lot. but it is nothing but trouble. not because it's built poorly, but for the past 3 years everything has started failing... I guess all the parts wear out around the same time. Eventually, we'll have a new mower, basically. ;)

We really just need to replace a couple of parts, but my dad has decided not to fix it if it ain't broke... well the hydraulics went out yesterday so maybe we should've fixed it before it broke. :/

So I had the Troybilt Pony for about 5 years and it has been a good little workhorse. I really wanted to upgrade it over the years but since it ran so well it seem like a waste of money. However my father-in-law still uses a walk behind mower and his knees are giving out on him. So we decided to give him our mower and I got a new one :#

    So we got this beauty:

I’ve been using a John Deere 425 all-wheel steer for quite some time, always had John Deere. If I get a new one I’d very seriously consider a zero turn. However, I have a huge area to mow and I sometimes use the garden tractor for rototilling and have even thought about a snowblower attachment so would have to give it much thought. But that zero turn looks real nice.

When my trusty ol' (US-made) John Deere riding mower shuffles off this mortal coil, I
want one of these (well, whatever the current model might be) :)
I am, really, truly, "planning" to go to the local dealer and price on this spring :p If they happen to have zero percent financing on 'em... well... we'll just have to see what happens :)

This popped up this morn. an hour ago. 300.00 :o What a SUPER DEAL!

I have nowhere to store it. I have a neighbor that might've helped me get it home but...Then it would be a spider haven being out in my yard with just a tarp over it.

Somebody's going to snatch this up in an hour or less already. :'(

I have an older (2017) John Deere, and have decided to hire a lawn service. I no longer need it. The lawnmower still works well, but I can't drive it anywhere, and I don't have a trailer. I don't have any idea how many hours are on it. I used it to cut the grass the first Summer, and sporadically this past year. If you can come get it, the mower can be yours.

I really can't. I just checked and the ad is still up after 2 hrs. They live Waaay out from this city. 50 miles I think. But still, I thought somebody would've scooped that up with a trailer by now.

Maybe next year, my barn shed will be able to house a riding mower like it used to.

I had a Toro riding mower. It was awesome. The mower deck center bushing mount rusted away. I looked up a price for a new deck and it was about 750.00. Then ad shipping from Indiana or somewhere in the Midwest and it would've been over 1K. I def. couldn't afford that back then.

I sure would've bought this mower if I had space and I was first to call them this morn. I would be pulling back into my driveway with it about now. :D

One thing I love about the Deere is it has grease fittings for the spindles and other things. My old riding mower had sealed bearings in these areas and eventually failed. Simple things like that make for long lasting equipment.

That's a beast! Love the light kit.

The more reseach I have done into mowers, the more I am looking at basically what you have there, only change is the manufacturer. I am looking at a Kuboto 52 or 60". How much was yours amd approx. how old is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Mine is a 2009, but didn’t sell until 2010. It is 29 HP Kawasaki, cuts like a dream. It has the 7 iron 60” deck with electric lift. I bought it at the dealer in 2016 for $6,000.00.

Only thing I have had to replace was the drive belt for the blades.

    Don’t mind questions at all.

I bought the lights at Amazon and mounted to an aluminum bar (angle iron)

It is a commercial mower so I think it will outlast me.

One thing I have noticed is that the pricing for a 52" cut or a 60" cut is not enough to even worry about (read less than $100 in most all cases).

What would you recommend for a 1.3 acre lot that is mostly grass with a lot of cut ins and a drain ditch at the front of the yard? Logic would tell me 60" but is there an advantage of the 52" cut that I may not be aware of?

Mine will come with the light kit. That is standard equipment IMO as fast as my grass grows....

Honda. First one lasted me about 20 years before giving it to my brother so I'd have an excuse to buy a new one. Second one is about 17 years old now. Zero problems with either of them other than they won't mow my yard by itself.
