I have used my HT system for a month now at moderate listening levels (this is not a volume related problem as I see it) and I find the sound to be less than life like (muffled or distorted) when there are many instruments playing...it is difficult to pick out specific instruments...
My question is, What would anyone suggest to improve my system? More power? Different Speakers? Bad Acoustics? anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this problem occur during stereo or 5.1 playback or both? Also, are you running a DSP mode?Proud SOPA Member since 2005!

try pointing your lsi15's directly at ur listening position, and listen to music in stereo, unless its a multi channel format like dvd-a or sacd. what kind of room is your stereo in?

Hey Neb,
It seems to happen on most every format and source...SACD, DVD, CD, Radio. Certain DVD's are awesome sounding though. (listening to Kill Bill 1 was nearly a religious experience).ADCOM GTP-830 (pre-amp)

The one time I had an issue with sound I changed to better speaker wires (16ga cheeper wire to 12ga monster) and the sound issues disappeared instantly.

Music is best enjoyed on 2 channels.
