Announcement: New and Useful Badges Program

@Hermitism sent me an interesting link earlier. Apparently, a group called H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio has been collaborating with Vanilla's development team for some time now in the creation of some new and useful badges for forums, under the New and Useful Badges for Forums program.
The PAF was selected as a test site, and it appears that after a review of recent forum activity, they've built some badges for us to use in some PAF-specific discussion scenarios.
For instance, when a member is particularly grumpy, they've issued:
@Hermitism would you like to share some of the others?

Since we don't have a moderator or customer service agent here on the forum, when someone owning a soundbar complains about their problems, they've issued this:
-
Oh, yes, that's a good one. That one should see immediate take-up.I disabled signatures.

There was this one I saw that just looked neat because it has a red star in it, but I'm not really sure yet when we might use it. I've sometimes seen stars awarded to small children when they're difficult in order to make them feel special and to sort of console and soothe them, so maybe we could use this red star one for that here if someone is having a bad day.

I can't quite read that one, Scott.

Oh, shoot, that graphic must've been corrupted during download. I'll put in a trouble ticket to the team to see if they can issue a corrected version. I'm not sure how this works. I'm pretty sure they're busy with badging for other sites, too?I disabled signatures.

But hey hermitism, what if I decide to sell something on the forum, and the transaction doesn't go well, and I accidentally wish death upon that person?I disabled signatures.

Well Scott, I'm glad you asked. The H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio team came up with this:
-
-
Now, our good friend Russ @lightman1 takes a fair measure of abuse around here, doesn't he folks? Yes, he does, and he's such a great sport about it.
Hermitism, aside from collecting addresses for later visits and guerilla bush deflowering, is there anything for Russ in the new badge collection?I disabled signatures. -
Well Scott, Russ does take a more than normal amount of abuse here. Especially from John. But the H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio team took that under consideration.
-
How about the punk ****, Asshat badge? I believe @Clipdat is the proud recipient of that honor.
-
Well Dave, thanks for asking. We haven't had a chance to see all the badges yet, but that's a great idea. Let's see if the team at H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio picked up on that one for us..."

Well John, we weren't really sure at first just how deep these guys over at H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio were going to dig. We were concerned that they wouldn't pick up some of the more intense discussions due to thread closing and deletions.
How's the Weather?!?

The H&M Creative Mischief Design Studio is currently watching the AMC channel, but I think I remember seeing a Skinny Jeans badge.

This is great! Keep 'em coming guys.
Howz about a "Russ peed in the corner of your listening room!" Badge? Too long, but I can't figure out how's to consolidate it.
And Russ, I'll send you my address...
I'm already on my way to 5,000 Russ insults. This is great! -
How about the H9 based "I know more about tubes than you" badge?
To earn it you must know what year the particular European, Russian or US military spec of a D or halo getter 6dj8. And quote the exact factory time stamp of its birth.

Or the Nelson Pass is a hack badge

Honestly. That is probably the single funniest yet sad thing I have ever read on here. That's with over 3600 visits.
This thread is the best thing to happen on here all year.Just a dude doing dude-ly things
