Up for sale is my Modwright SWL 9.0 preamp in really nice shape. The pre sounds great and functions excellent as well. It went back to ModWright in December for the volume control which was replaced and they checked it over while they had it, giving it a clean bill of health. I have the receipt of this from the previous owner. This pre also has been upgraded with the tube rectifier in the power supply which was a $500 add-on. I'm still pretty new to the tube scene so below are a couple pics of the installed tubes(tube dampers were removed as I've found them unnecessary). I can post more pics if anyone is interested.

I have the original box/packaging, remote, and power cord.
Asking $950 plus shipping but I am willing to meet locally between Baltimore and Philadelphia.
Thanks

I can tell you if I wasn't remodeling our home this would already say sold, it's not about the money, it's about having time to play with the unit, my system is down due to remodeling, and I don't see it being back up till the end of summer..

    But I want it...

By the way, this pre has HT bypass for you folks that run your 2 channel gear with your HT setup. A really nice feature to have.

If I had an amp(s) to pair it with, I might have caved by now lol. Unless you want to give me your 845 on an extended "loan" ;)

It is a great pre amp! I had my SWL 9.0SE upgraded to the SWLP 9.0SE. The 'P' meant built in ModWright MC phono stage. I opted for the Blue face plate. Dan would fill the engraving with silver enamel paint. The tube regulated power supply was moved outside in the enclosure he used for CD player mods with tube regulated power supplies.

I also had a ModWright tube output Sony 999ES and the ModWright tubed Sony 9100ES.

I love my ModWright preamp the LS 100 preamp I got for Ron my brother in Houston and my Modwright KWA 100SE

if you want a great combo how about adding this amp to this preamp for a one of a kind special set up wit my amp form the Music room,

I was going to say this Modwright SWA 100SE that I have for $2400 but it was sold :(

A wonderful Preamp that I would have bought already if I didn't already own a Modwright preamp!
GLWTS! As it is a step above most preamp in this price range!

when this is sold the rest of your are going to cry about a special preamp you let get away!

Thank God. Was seriously considering this and the McCormack that Zach just sold. But then, reality (the realization that I have no money...) set in!

Let me guess, @verb? :p Dave's on a buying spree!!

    Congrats to the new owner.
