I'd been toying all winter with smaller full range speakers.
One of the mods I did to my rig was to make twin external high pass filters, which I mounted inside a pair of vintage cigar boxes. (hey, you work with what you've got).
The boxes have ins & outs from the amp to the speakers.
It worked so well that this got me to thinking, what if I bought another pair of high quality two way crossovers and also made them externally enclosed.
Then I could run the low's to mid range frequencies to my latest 6" full range speakers and the highs to a pair of vintage horns that I have on hand.
I'm thinking of making custom fit wood enclosures for the horns, with rubber feet, so I can just set them on top of the full range cabs and either move them forward or back in distance for time alignment purposes.
