Minimum wattage to run my Polk rti12s. I'm thinking about purchasing the Denon x3500h a/v reciever.

Good to start with and the 3500 has pre-outs for adding an amp later. RTi-12 like a lot of power. For budget minded amps Emotiva or Outlaw Audio. An Emotive BasX-A300 is a nice little 2ch amp that would drive them nice

The 505 is a good budget sub but any HSU or SVS will be a lot better. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Used NAD amps can be had well within budget as well.

I agree with @FestYboy 100% on using NAD amps.
I've been using a NAD-C370 integrated for years to easily power my 4 ohm SRS2's.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Would the c370 acceptable power for 8ohm speakers
-
Easily. There's a C372 that might be more powerful.
They aren't cheap. Maybe 300 to 500. I'll check.
But they are for Music mainly. No surround features here.
I only spotted one C370 on ebay and it was recapped and had a tuner included like I have also but they want 800.00 for the set.

Beware when shopping on eBay of course!!!
Both come w/remote and owners' manual.
Yea, the first C372 that looks great was this one for about 500.00 to your door.

Another 372 for 400.00 to your door that looks great.

Thank you. I'm going to review the 8nfo you sent. I really appreciate your time.

I love my Denon x3500h as it packs a lot of stuff for the price (Audyssey XT32, decent amplification, ARC, etc.), but yeah, it won't power those monsters properly, even with the "bi-amping" feature off the receiver (which, without surprise, reduce the other channels output by a fair amount).
With a 5.1 system, your "bi-amped" front RTi 12 would only end up with 150w or so, which could end up not being enough during peaks at moderately high volume in a larger room. One could argue that such monsters would benefit from high current amplification even at low volume.
As for the speakers within the RTi line, I think that mrloren is spot-on. Anything smaller than the CSi A6 (center channel) could seem out of place, and the RTi A1 or RTi 4 should be fine as rear/side.
As for NAD amps: I loved mine, both with the RTiA and the LSiM lines. You can't go wrong there, but keep in mind that an integrated amplifier would cut you out of any surround feature. You would need one of their 2 or 3 channels power amplifiers on top of the Denon x3500h.Speakers: Polk Audio LSiM 705, LSiM 703, LSiM 704c
