M5 Series 2 Recap Question

Hi All,
Just picked up a pair of these circa 1991 M5's. They're in good shape but the tweeters are pretty weak. Will do the upgrade on those, and I'm looking into doing a recap as well. The question is, the little 2" hole for the crossover is a tad small for fitting 3 new Sonicraft caps. I'm not even sure if I can combine the 12 uf and 8 uf caps, but even so, the 34 uf cap is dang near 2" in diameter. Any ideas from anybody who has done one of these would be greatly appreciated. Pics to come shortly!

Build an XO board and place below the PR, with the PR as your access point.

That was exactly my thought, and run jumpers to the crossover board. Funny thing, I have a pair of M4.6 Series 2 that I bought new, and they still work perfectly. These M5's will replace the 4.6's once they're fixed.

Here's some pix of the M5 crossover.
