Bad Run of Used Purchases

I think Im going to stop buying used gear from people I dont know...here are some fine examples:
1. Ebay seller ships me 80" signal silver speaker cables instead of the 8' cables I purchased. What a difference an extra ' makes! Im going to mail back a tapemeasure with the cables to the seller.
2. My stupid Yamaha A640 integrated has to go back to the shop...again. Its still covered under the shops warranty but theres 4 hours of my life Ill never get back driving.
3. My lovely Parasound A23 amp has a bad RCA jack and the all so enjoyable dance with the credit card company and idiot seller continues. Im going to go out of my way to play stupid on this one because that seems to be the norm nowadays.
Just thought I would share that with everyone...I feel better now.

Sorry for the BS you're experiencing.
One day you'll look back and remember when these things were challenging your nerves and patience. It'll soon be over and back to normal...for a while. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Kev,
I've always said ebay was too risky for audio gear. Buy from people you know, here, or from a dealer demo list, as they will stand behind their products.
Other Audio sites aren't bad either, as they face some scrutiny from other members should something go south. I've had good luck on US Audio Mart.
Sorry to hear about the mishaps, lessons learned in this hobby of ours can be costly.HT SYSTEM-

+1 about buying from members here; I've bought several items over the years right here (2 items in the last month) and I've had positive experiences every single time. I can't say that about ebay though.

Stop dealing with PFB... sorry about your run of bad luck

Yeah....I think that may do it for the whole Ebay and Paypal experience. Dealing with malroons and people in call centers half way around the world is no longer fun. Ill stick around here for sure, but time to be done with all that.
