Sonore microrendu renderer with ifi ipower 9v 2.0 amp power supply. Connect it to your network and play files from your pc via dlna to a usb cable to your dac. I use jriver and a phone app to manage playlists , imports, ect. Very nice way to get great sound. New was $675 for the micro and $50 for the power supply. Firmware 2.5 upgrade done. Does Roon, spotify and tons more.
Upgraded to the Ultrarendu so need to move this along now.

    Sonore makes great stuff.

    Prior to going to the high sound quality minimalist streamers, Sonore offered SOTA (State of the Art) music servers with optional high quality power supplies. The servers featured power filtering for even the hard drive along with custom USB cards externally powered. They also built a well featured USB to i2s interface for DIY'ers.

    I have one of their Signature Series music servers with the Deux power supply and their USB to I2s interface in my DAC.

    Ethernet only. Simple to add to a network.

    Found the usb connector that is 2" long. This connector sounds very clean but like the Cardas better.

    The best way to telling how good this sounds is to use it for a couple of weeks then remove it from your system. Direct from the computer via usb to your dac will be disappointing. You will reinstall the microender. I used microender with the UltraCap™ LPS-1 power supply along with the ipower ps . I use the UltraCap™ LPS-1 with the Ultrarendu currently. Best digital source I've heard until I got the Ultrarendu!

    Sorry I can't say how it compares to the sb, but its much newer and has great reviews. I found it to sound much better than the pc into usb.

    Someone should jump on this. It is a good deal, especially with the power supply. I had one with an SBooster power supply and really liked it. It sounded clean and always worked flawlessly with Roon.
