LSiM706c paired with RT2000i

I've owned my RT2000i's for years now and love them - running a CS400i center with these. Upgrading our home theater in a new home and went w/ an Anthem AVM60 and Monoprice 7x200 amp. Anyhow, considering upgrading the CS400i to an LSiM706c to improve the voice clarity (we predominantly use the room for movies).

I realize the CS400i pairs nicely w/ these RT2000i's, so looking for anyone's opinion if
  1. This LSiM706c would pair with these older RT2000'is
  2. If yes, if it's worth the upgrade (is the LSi that much [~$500] better than the CS I already have?)
  3. If it's worth just upgrading all 3 to the latest LSi offering from Polk.

Thanks in advance!

Your RT/CS combo is enough to get it done. However, it you want to really see what that Monolith can do driving the latest generation flagship line, then replace the front three. Worth, it a personal thing when you already have nice speakers that work and you like the sound. The MSRP of the LSiM line is quite a bit more than your ~ 17 yr old speakers but the sales at Adorama.com really make them a great buy.

I've used several of the RT/CS speakers myself from the RT5000, RT800i, RT600, CS400i as well as the LSiM706, 703.

    Hello and welcome

You've put together a nice setup there with the Anthem and Monolith amp. It all depends on your budget.

RT series is not bad speaker, a little dated but not bad. I think the 706c would be a better center than the CS400i depending on how well the Anthem calibrates it. If you can swing it I'd look for and Adorama deal and replace all 3 L/R/C.

Other option would be to go with RTi if it's just for movies. Signature series is good on Movies and great on music.

How do you like the Monolith amp? It was my seconded choice when I got XPA3
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
