Great moment in Vemont history: the Norwich [University] Panty Raid/riot of 1963

Trigger alert: @Viking64: gentle fun is being poked at the Green Mountain State in this post.
Vermont has a long and proud history of brave and bold warriors. The Green Mountain Boys. The Vermont Brigade. The Norwich College [now University] Panty Raiders of 1963.
Norwich University (which, in typical, New England style, is not actually in Norwich, VT) is celebrating its bicentennial this year. Norwich (originally Norwich Academy) was founded by a renegade ex-head of West Point, who had been fired (so to speak) by President Monroe.
Despite that colorful genesis, Norwich, by and large, has a very proud history. By and large.
Today's Vermont Edition on VPR featured an interview with a fellow who has authored a book on the history of the institution in honor of its anniversary. I was fascinated to learn that one of the school's darkest moments was a panty raid at nearby Vermont College that, by some accounts, turned into a full-fledged riot.

Plus, I was in B-more. Plausible deniability.

Comment waxing nostalgic about how the “current PC climate has ruined fine traditions like this” in three... two... one...“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

Yes, but has anyone ever endeavored to determine how many of those panties were wadded?
