Can anyone clear up why I get this horriable fuzzy static when a commercial pops up text on my screen, it never did it until this afternoon.
I havn't moved the centerchanel, which is the only one close, and it's sheiled at that.
It's annoying as hell.
Also, I've heard I can get great results from some "video calibration programs"
Any thoughts on these?
Thanks.

My best guess is that a cable has degraded or that your power is dirty. As far as the calibration, getting it professionally done will yield outstanding results. Of course whether it's worth it or not depends on your set. But yes, the calibration dvd's are a great value and should improve the picture quality on your set, though they won't do anything for the static.
