What a piszer

Having put the big boys back in the loop and one of my MW6503's is acting up.

Called CS for a few days and all I get is "call back later".

Not even sure if them make these anymore. Hope so...D'oh

  • I assume if Midwest Speaker Repair doesn't have them Polk most likely doesn't but still call just in case they have some lying around.

Tried to recreate the bad sound with no luck.

Was listening to some Metallica when it happened. Not at warp 9 just a good flow.

Been trying today and nothing yet.

I did snug all driver screws this morning and good news is no similar bad sound.

Sound was like a driver overworking just a bit but the volume wasn't cranked at the time.
I've pushed em a tad more today and nothing, playing just fine.

I'll take what I got at this point.

Do you by chance have an air leak? Maybe also check the wire connection for a loose terminal.

My experience with Midwest Speaker is sometimes they don't even have em in stock, and they have to order directly from Polk.

Don't think I have an air leak. Will diagnose more today.

Joe at Midwest said they will have them available around Sept. :)
