diference between SL 2000 tweeter and SL 3000

would there be any advantage to upgrade to the SL3000 my sda compacts are the earlier ones with two SL 2000 in each cabinet. also any benifit to changing crossover caps to the esoteric ones i see in some speaker parts sites.
system includes polk sda
crs ,velodyne uld 15 sub,adcom gfa 555 amp and gfp 555 preamp and yamaha souround amp for center and rear channels

    Dam,

    First, you can't just drop in a different tweeter like that, the crossovers would have to be redesigned first. Second, Polk no longer sells the original SL3000 or SL2000, but they do have a new replacment for the SL2000 that many folks here think is better than the original. Perhaps you could buy 4 of those and see what you think. Lastly, crossover upgrades are a good thing.
