I don't know if these guys are making any noise in other parts of the country, but here in Tucson, they getting some decent air play.

Anyway, while at WalMart picking up some prescriptions to get ready for my custom LASIK, I noticed their CD was on sale for LESS than $10! (I also picked up Rush's 20bit "Moving Pictures" and Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" for less than $10/apiece as well).

I have been extremely pleased with not only their overall sound, but the recording quality as well. Their guitars have a very "straight-line" and "from the amp" sound. They don't sound mixed or processed at all. I think this fact also lets the SDA do its magic as well! The bass is very nice. Full and deep. You SVS guys would love it. The imaging has also been very surprising. I get a good sense of depth and location and the drums and cymbols are pretty identifiable. Speaking of highs, they are also clear and well imaged, both cymbols and higher guitar riffs.

Overall, I'd say if you like a little rock-a-billy, blues, and clean rock, thisis a can't miss CD, especially when you take in to consideration the recording quality!

    Los Lonely Boys

These guys are flat out incredible! They remind of one of those bar bands that have a steady gig and can pack a house but the mainstream doesn't know them yet! I could listen to these guys all night long!

This is an incredible CD! The quality is probably one of the best I have heard yet! I-SIG is 100% correct, this recording sounds totally live and unmolested! If these guys can get some more air time, they are going to make one hell of an impact on the scene! This is true talnt rearing it's lovely head! I am already waiting for thier next album!

Oh and even Willie Nelson makes an appearance on the album!

So go out right now and buy this album! Do not hesistate for even a second because even if you don't like this style of music, just the sheer joy of hearing real talent and a good, quality recording is worth the admission price!

This one is going into the perpetual rotation category of my collection!

And just incase someone starts asking, these guys have a very Mexican sound. Almost like a cross between Jimi Hendrix and a Cantina band. I swear I hear Carlos Santana influences too. The album is heavy on electric guitars on some tracks and acoustics on others. There are a couple hard driving songs and a couple slow ones but there is not a bad one in the bunch! This is a buzzworthy album.

My wife saw the video of these guys doing "Heavean" on CMT while we were in Las Vegas. Haden't heard anything about them in Jersey before that. Picked up the CD and loved it! Kind of a cross between Stevie Ray Vauhan/Santana/Los Lobos. If you are a fan of guitar based Rock & Blues, this CD is for you. Great guitar work & vocal harmony for a trio.

They are just starting to get some airplay on the Top40 radio stations around here.

LLB reminds me a lot of Big Head Todd and the Monsters....which to me is definately not a bad thing.

Thanks for the review Sig.....looking forward to picking up the CD.

Playing it as we speak. Very Los Lobos/SRV (guitar work). I'm a big Los Lobos fan, too. Agreed, bass guitar work is fab - he dwells on low E a lot. Great recommend, thanks guys. I had already heard the single Heaven, BTW.

I bought their CD in Oct 2003 after the indie radio station KPRI 102.1 (San Diego) started playing "Heaven". Seems everyone finally is catching up. I'm a big Los Lobos fan , I got their EP "A Time to Dance" in 1983. I just won Los Lobos' "This Time" on MFSL SACD from the Audio Audition website!

I saw them on Conan and then on Austin City Limits and was hooked. I bought their CD several months ago. They sure can sing and play. Some of it reminds me of Santana. Peace.

I just wanted to push this back out there because I must have been living under a rock because I just discovered these guys. Being a huge SRV fan, their Texas guitar sound instantly grabbed me. The new Sacred album is awesome and sounds great on my blown out car stereo. Haven't had a chance to listen on my temporarily decomissioned SRS's, but you can tell the fidelity is clean and not really f'ed with.

For anyone who cares, Reese the Wildman Wayans plays keyboards on "Diamonds." Reese was SRV's piano man for those who might not know. Willie sits in one song. The first album was recorded in his studio. These guys rock and acutally have talent. Get it!
