Very Interesting. Back in the day I had A LOT of vinyl, but over the years it has disappeared. Sure wish I knew where it went. I'm going to have to check with my younger sister and see if she is hoarding it! lol I'm not interested in buying it all over again, but if I still had it, I might consider something like that. Plus, my wife thinks it would look nice sitting next to our McIntosh MA252 integrated amp.

It has an amp, tube pre, dac, and turntable all in one. Its only missing an 8'track to be the perfect all in one. LOL.

No idea on pricing but it seems like a cool looking lifestyle type system. It's no Emerson or Yorx but it will do.

    $6500, per other hifi fora.

Which, in full candor, at least isn't obscenely expensive.

    I wonder:

If any, most, or all of it is US-made?
Who is the tt OEM? (Doesn't appear to be Clearaudio, who by all appearances "did" their MT-5 and MT-10 tts).

The pricing is... more than I would pay.

Well, me too, but the price isn't outrageous.

I suspect these, e.g., are rather pricier -- although cut from similar cloth (if somewhat fancier and more design-oriented):

Clearly it's not cheap, but it is pretty awesome for the right customer. If you don't have a lot of space, want something simple and you have some money to burn!

Considering a standard McIntosh TT starts around $4,000, it's priced pretty good.

    For McIntosh pricing...

Interesting that McIntosh is into the lifestyle game. Like Polk, and others, realize there is a huge market out there. Good for them!

    This!!

I know it's un-audiophile of me to say but, times are changing. Things are becoming more convenient including the way we get music. We can stream lossless files for music. Even though we knock Bose, they have been doing this stuff for years from the wave radio on down. Its nice a better brand / better built companies are doing this so you can have sort of the best of both worlds. I am guilty of this with my KEF Ls50W.

I am not defending McIntosh, JBL, KEF, Klipsch, Devialet, Yamaha, Sony and several other brands but, it is kind of nice it's not just Bose and they can have some quality sound and decent build while keeping peace in the house because it looks nice or not talking up a ton of room.

In a few years, on the used market, this product might turn into a bargain especially if LP''s start loosing momentum.

Again, It's no Emerson or Yorx but it will do.

Yep. It’s a way companies get folks into the brand. Like cars and trucks, they become loyal to the brand, over time they upgrade.

Ouch! Yep that's the risk. One thing that will drive folks away from a brand is poor quality. Many companies suffer today, even though they make terrific quality products currently, because of the lasting effects of their legacy of poor quality.

Improving the reputation takes time. It requires companies to go above and beyond the competition to rebuild the brand. Sometimes even a generation of customers are lost.

Look at the reputation of some Asian companies post WW2. Some of you may remember "made in Japan" was analogous to shoddy, tacky products. Not true today.

Keep a Vega away from salt and ice, and they weren’t so bad. Salt from a single order of French fries would be enough to burn straight through the metal on them. The Cosworth Vegas weren’t so bad, and a lot of fun to drive..

They weren't much better at rusting out than their rival...the Pinto. :s I grew up during those times and watched them all rust away. The little mustangs did it too. SAD times for American made cars for sure. :(

    Back to the Mac attack.

Who designed the layout to have frikn hot tubes where your hand and arm will be EVERY TIME x2 when you play a record? :s

    Come-on-man! :#:s

Actually, I don't think the tubes get very hot at all. I believe they are just used for the preamp. I have this McIntosh integrated amp and the tubes don't get hot at all.

The small signal tubes won't be hot. They might be warm, but it wouldn't be unpleasant to touch them. Besides, the goofy looking little cages will keep one from getting too close.
