Marantz 2226B powering rti12s

I was given a brand new set in the box of rti12s. I found a great vintage Marantz 2226b receiver that I’d like to buy to power the rti12s. I’ve read conflicting information on whether it would power them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It wouldn't power them properly. Granted I am sure that the ratings are higher than stated it still won't have the power to push those speakers. They can be pretty power hungry.
