Hello There,
I just recently bought a pair of SDA 2 and a pair of SDA 2a. I want to hook up the sda 2s first. I was looking for suggestions on what a good amp is to power these babies. I have been into audio for about six months and these speakers are a major step up for me. I would love to hear about how you powered them past or present, your thoughts on them. Just any info in general. Thanks in advance. Always Grateful.

One word AMPLIFIER with a good rating at 4ohm loads. I know the SDA2a starts at 4ohm on drops to 3 on some frequencies.

Ok. I have been looking at emotiva amps. Any experience with them? What brand amp. Would you recommend? Thanks

Brand = sound, that's a potentially long discussion. Let's narrow down the potential selection with a budget first, then with the help of the style of music, the sound YOU prefer (laid back, neutral, forward, bright).

I would say my budget would be $200-$450. I like to listen to the Grateful Dead. I don’t know about sound, but brand wise so far I have used Marantz, pioneer.
