I have no idea. I don't think it was up there very long. I don't know what all the secrecy is about.

Either they replaced the driver, or the sub, or it was returned and the money was refunded. Just wanted to know what happened is all. Sounds like Sid's not talking for whatever reason....

Let me be very brief here -

SVS sent my Dad a replacement driver
My Dad sent SVS the old driver.
2 weeks later, and the fact still remains as it did....a month ago.
    He needs a bigger subwoofer.

    Have a nice day.

Thanks, Sid. Are we to read between the lines and assume he toasted the new driver, too? Or did he possibly bottom it once and then backed off?

If you can at all make room for the PB2+ at the same price, it has significantly more headroom than the PC-Ultra, and is damn near bulletproof in the 25 Hz tune with all ports open. Strongly recommended for extreme bass heads like your Dad.

I'm trying to talk him into a PB2 Ultra

but he is set that he has enough bass. I played Linkin Park - Reannimation yesterday, and I can garuntee him -- he does NOT have enough bass.

And since I played it yesterday (it's not blown) lol -- also, it hasnt bottomed since I graphed it up, which looked about like a camels back, and explains why he likes it so loud -- there is a monster dip at 55hz then another at 30hz.... but hits to about 18hz pretty stong, then it pretty dives

He dosn't want a box due to asthetics(sp), he REALLY like the cylinder's look, and I agree. The thing is much more elegant looking over a box.

I'm like..ok -- then put it behind the other main and leave the cylinder in the front---

Three Ultra drivers SHOULD suit him.

I would really like another SVS for my system - I might buy one this summer. Buahaha, My Mom would kill me ---

And I quote:Mom: "I walked in the house, and I thought your room was caving in." HEHEHEHHE

Hey Sid, how big is your Dad's living room again? Like 5,000 cubic feet with openings to other living areas? Can he tuck away another PC-Ultra to the right of the entertainment center in front of the fireplace? Two of them might be the ticket if he doesn't have the groundspace for a PB2+. Doc or Tom V. would know for that sized room which is a challenge.

Perhaps you could bring your sub downstairs and hook it up to his system as well and see how it smooths out the graph as a selling point. Not sure if this would work well with the different drivers and amps but Doc should be able to let you know if that is a good idea or not as an indication of what the potential of twin PC-Ultras may be.
