Wife's gonna be pissed

Had pretty much decided on a SVS 25-31pci but when a PCPlus came up on B stock for $725 I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger. I had $50 in SVS gift certs from my mother in law from Christmas. So- $718.43 shipped!! Now for the hard part...waiting ;)

Yeah and there's three of them which could come in handy depending on how long she stays pissed. I've got my speach all worked out for when she gets home tonight. She just "bought herself a new $1200 camera for mothers day" Fathers day is next month, right? :D

Sounds like my camera "Canon Rebel Digital" cost me like $1200 for bag / memory card / warranty, if so Sweet Camera Love it.

You'll never tell it apart from a regular stock PC+. Most people can't figure out why it was ever listed B-Stock. The 25-31PC+ rules with an iron fist on music and movies; great choice if you lean toward the aggressive on playback.

She got a Nikon. A friend of hers has one and she fell in love with it. I have him to thank for my new toy

I was hoping you'd say that. I didn't want to get one that was all dinged up

Is this what B-stock means? It works, it just has some kind of cosmetic defect?

B-stock could be anything from a slight cosmetic issue to even an item returned by a customer. I'd have no issue with getting such a product because usually full manufacturer warranties are provided.

congrats Ken on the PCi +. your jaw will drop once you hear if for the first time. I think since your wife is also into electronics. i think she'll enjoy the great powerful bass too.

I like the round tube shape of the PCi series of subs.. very pleasing to look at. You can always place it behind a plant or a screen to help hide it if it's not to her liking.

Post your first impressions once you have the SVS set up.

I'm really looking forward to it. Unfortunately my wifes interest in electronics is limited to computers, cameras, etc. She's not real crazy about the whole "HT experience". I'm hoping the new sub will change that :D

Well it finally arrived and I can sum it up in 2 words, HOLY CRAP!!
This thing is freakin' huge. I'm trying to explain to the wife that this is the "baby" of the lineup.
B stock, thumbs up. Not a mark on it. I was a little concerned when I unpacked it. There were wrinkles in the fabric but they smoothed right out.
Haven't done much testing as of yet. Initial impressions w/o calibrations are WOW! Will post further when I get time to get everything dialed in

So far very pleased. Wife thinks it looks like a 30 gal garbage can in the corner
Still haven't calibrated. Once I do I'm sure I'll have some questions and I'll start a new thread with my review.

Whenever you're ready. Plenty of guys around here have graduated from the school of sub set-up and tuning and will be glad to help.

OUCH! I guess that would hurt! But on the other hand, if you were both into it, you would never have any money to spend on anything else. (say like diapers, or maybe beer) LOL! ;)
