Is there a difference? I see them both listed on the harman Audio website, but the 525-Z is cheaper than the 525...
Is this just a typo or is there a difference?

I believe the "Z" means it's been factory refurbished.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Just an FYI, buy my current DVD player is one of their "Z" models. Can't tell it apart from a new one, either functionally or appearance wise. Got it for half the MSRP/30% off street.

Yeah, my 525 is a "Z". It appeared brand spankin' new when I opened the box. Got it for half price off the Internet with full manufacturer's warranty. However, they forgot to put a power cord in the box. I didn't care because I always toss out the cheap stock power cords on my AV gear anyway and replace them with either a DIY or the Volex 17604's. They cost about $5 each.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
