Sub(s) stuck on red, not working.

Have a pionner vsx and bic h100..red light stays on, even though have it always on. During setup..i can turn up all the way and barely get sound. Nothing when playing anything. Thinking bad sub...I purchased a polk pw505.

Hook it up..comes on during level adjustment in setup..lasts all of 1minute and clicks to red..even though always on.

So go buy a new onkyo receiver....same scenario.

Tried 4 different cables also.

So..reading a bit..im guessing the amps are bad in both the bic and the polk..right? Just opened the box on the polk..although I bought off amazon warehouse, you would think it would still work.

Anything Im overlooking before I send the bic to the garbage man and ship the lolk back to amazon and get a new one?

Obviously not the avr, so will keep pioneer until a replacement sub comes..unless Im really stupid. Subs are sposed to be ez...sub preout to lfe.how hard can it be?

Tried it with both the pioneer and onkyo receiver. I think im going to buy another new sub today and see if I just have bad amps. I cant see 4 different cables being the issue.

And..that was the problem. 2 dead subs.

Historically, Polk has shipped replacement amps, which should save you the expense of shipping the whole unit. Of course, I don't speak for Polk...

There could have been a tad more troubleshooting before buying a new sub to try and determine the problem but either way if you are rocking then no point in going through those steps.
