id get 2 amps that do 800watts x1@2ohms
i think it would be cheaper than getting 1 amp that does 1600x1@4ohms

If youre on a budget, get 2 of these Coustic amps. Coustic are damn good amps. They make strong, clean power and are well built. You probably wouldnt want to compete with these but it wouldnt be unheard of.

For twice the price you can snag a pair of these MTX babies which will surely thump a hole in your chest! MTX makes some powerhouse amps and are virtually indestructible! They hold more SPL world records and DB Drag Championships than you can say Grace over and will play til the cows come home.

Also Diamond Audio has just come out with the new D3 line which is their entry level amps. The 600.1 is $375. You snag you two of those and carefully set the gain and youre in business. Now Diamond is a high end manufactuerer but with this being their entry level amp line, you probably wont be getting that much better an amp than the MTX however youll have a Diamond Audio amp and thats pretty cool! Its like owning a BMW 3 series. Yeah they only cost about $28K and have like 150 horsepower, but its still a BMW!!

Hifonics Collossus does that kinda power at 1 ohm. Actually, I think it's over 2K watts.

Here's a link to a site that has them. At ~$1400 they ain't cheap but gawddamn! Look at those power ratings! For ~$1400, that's alot of power for your money!

    2 x 600 Watts @ 4 Ohms
    2 x 900W @ 2 Ohms
    2 x 1200W @ 1 Ohms
    1 x 1800 Watts @ 4 Ohms
    1 x 2400 Watts @ 2 Ohm

I don't know for sure if Hifonics is still making the Generation XI series of amps but that line constitutes some incredibly powerful hardware!

Or the Hifonics Brutus does 1500 x 1 at 1 ohm for about 530 bucks on sounddomain.com. That's probably easier to find that the
