Some old friends of ours (who live in Mass but grew up in NY) shared this NY Post front page from that fateful day.

Perhaps the Post should be more concerned with Aaron Judge's singing lessons. To me that was the spark that lit the forest fire......This long time Sox fan thanks you Mr. Judd.

Why I hate the Post - sour grapes from what is a predominantly Yankee-leaning newspaper. They didn't say "Boston wins", but rather "Dodgers lose*" with the asterisk pointing out how many titles the Sox are behind the Yankees. And I would bet money that one of the "keys" for Van Wagenen is for the Mets to trade deGrom across the East River...
Boston had a great year, equaling the '86 Mets, who they probably should have beaten, but didn't.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
