2 amps 1 pre ?

Can you use 1 pre for 2 amps if one amp is connected to pre via RCA and the other XLR. Not running both amps at the same time ?

    Yes, you use 1 pre for 2 amps with one amp is connected to pre via RCA and the other XLR. You can run both amps at the same time too. I did that with my P5, B&K reference 50, and B&K reference 50 S2 preamplifiers. Most of the time I only turned on only 1 amp but once a while I turned both of them on (yes, I am crazy) and never had any problems at all.

    Yes but as skip stated some are switched and you can only use one or the other at a time.

    The OP have P5 and B&K reference 50 preamps so he can hook up either his preamp to 2 amps.
