Not bashing the band on my part, but rather their label for releasing a horribly flawed recording. These kids are fantastic performers and deserved much better than that hot mess....The Gear... I agree I had never heard of them but thought the band was pretty awesome...didn’t love the songs and don’t care for the singers vocal style, but the music was tight.

I actually like that album. The new one they put out, not so much.
And as with all bands, some I like to watch and some I don't. I like Greta Van Fleet's music, I don't like watching them play live one bit. Just something about the lead singer and his antics on stage just rub me the wrong way.

I also guess I like the "From the fires" album better for now. I have only played them both thru twice so not ready for a final judgement. These guys are fairly local so I have to root for them to find their own way and style. The recordings hopefully get better attention with the Grammy win under their belts. My grandson went with his roommate to hang out in Frankenmuth and party with them a couple weeks ago. I haven't talked to him yet about how that went but that pretty much puts a date stamp on me. Its been a while since I remember a bunch of young guys going for it. Heard a song on the radio while I was driving in Detroit. That was pretty cool. Hope they keep it going.Main System

From the Fires is good, IMO. Gotta support the local boys for sure. They get a lot of play here. Got the new album a while back, still in the wrapper. Leave it in the wrapper. Your ears will thank you. The music ain't bad, but it sounds horrible due to very poor mastering and production. The Gear... The new album makes nice background music... even being used to iTunes it sounds pretty bad. I like the music though, and hopefully, we can get better remasters in the future!
