whoa, freaky. what's your setup? amps, subs, headunit. off the top of my head, i'm thinking feedback/noise.It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

most noise isn't in the subwoofer range, though, that's what's got me confused...It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

I had a rca come loose once and was sitting on the deck (came off eq thats above deck)...and i got bass all the time. possible bad rca's

Sound right. Don't you use RF wiring? or was that someone else.
I ran RF wiring, and it fell apart at the amp end (no visible damage outside). It made the same "bass all the time" effect. Turns out they're cheap connections under the plastic molded end. I have seen the same ends on the CHEAPEST radioshack speaker wires with rca. Furthermore, If ya don't want to spend a lot to replace them, I have never had problems with any of the good radioshack audiocables. They have a superflexible nitrous gas core and center lead, so they arent as prone to break.

Dont use RF wireing? WTF
Ive used RF wireing for over 5yrs and only had 1 pair of rca's come apart...mostly to taking them off wrong! Absolutly nothing wrong with RF stuff... -

Yeesh!
I didn't mean to bust your bubble
I am just saying that after having one break and then disecting it, the construction is a bit lacking. Not saying that if you treated them like a gold necklace they'd break anyway, just that they break. As an electronics person, I was DISPLEASED with the way that they are soldered inside...
Maybe I have the cheap RF ones? They came out of a $50 8ga install kit ...? I have a temp. kenwood interconnect running in my floorboard right now. That fixed the continuous bass problem for me.. It was the RF cables. It was only a suggestion.

Tell ya the truth...I stopped buying thier top rca's anyway..just get the cheapies or the twisted and they are just as good! My white wolf pair is the one that broke after 4yrs and 3 diff installs.

What type of amp is it? I've got a Class D that seems to have the same problem right now, but the problem might be a crappy wiring job by me. The level of noise is very low and can only be heard if I have my trunk open and no music playing.Brian Knauss
