Anyone have any thoughts on the 4k projectors that are coming out? Especially the portable ones like the one LG has out.

JVC, JVC, JVC. But nothing on portables. My portables have been standard HD from Epson."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

The Optoma UHD60 is reasonably priced with actual 4K and HDR. A portable projector maybe is not a good option for 4K?

The HD60 will be my next move. I currently have the HD25LV and can't see going with anything less than 3k lumens for my room setup. I got spoiled being able to have some lighting on and still enjoy my PJ. My previous 2 PJs just didn't cut it for casual PJ usage.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

I've seen the JVC and Optoma models - pretty nice and getting affordable. Why bother with 4k for portable? That LG is almost $3k. The Optoma UHD models are all far less than that. So is the new JVC DLP model, which I really liked.

The new JVC DLP models and the new NX series JVCs are all actual 4K and HDR. The RS series was the last of the "Faux-K" E-Shift models."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Is that JVC out yet? -

They pushed back shipping on 1 of the models but the rest are scheduled to hit the stores as stated at CEDIA."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
