addicted to Freecell

My forum friends, I have an aweful addiction. I am addicted to that game Freecell. I find myself playing at work every time I have a minute to waste. I've even found myself playing at home.

So far, my current best is 7 wins in a row. Some wind bag here at work claims to have won 15 in a row, but judging by his haircut, I think he is full of BS.

Some older versions of Windows had a smaller # of games, maybe 25,000 or so. But, newer versions of Windows have 1,000,000 different games.

I hope you uncle gave up on his quest. He's probably still playing if he didn't.

My record is 374 games in one day of "work"

    (17 in a row-one time, Usually about 5-6)

Excellent work there jdh, 374 games in a day. Hilarious!:D

I feel Freecell to be far superior to Solitare. I actually feel smarter when I finished a Freecell/Time wasting session. The way I figure it, if I keep playing, I will eventually feel smart enough to do some actual work. But right now, I'm feeling pretty stupid, so I'd better get busy, and waste some more time.

Now its on to that spider solitaire. 4 suits is damn impossible. Oh, and yes I'm overpaid for the mundane dung I have to do day in and out...

    petrym, you sir, are super.

You are the reigning king of the timewasters. Not only have you added a twist to the game by eliminating the free cells, you have documented your progress. I salute you.:D

I will try some of those games you listed. Sounds fun.

I thought I was the only one addicted to this game. I once had a 93% win ratio. And that was over 1800 games. Alot of the losses were because the pc froze up or I just shut it down during a gamer. I only play it once in a while now.

    del44,

super nice home theater!! I really like the acoustic panels you put up. The two that have the lights behind are very trick. Excellent work.

Thanks gmorris, The panels gave the room a more comfortable atmosphere. Also controlled the sound better. And the cost was minimal.

I just finished building my own panel. It is similar to yours.

I used a 1x2 frame, put a piece of 1/4" hardboard on the back, and glue eggcrate style acoustic panels onto the hardboard. I then covered the frame with a very nice material.

The overall outside dimensions are 49" wide x 37" tall. I hung the center right on the first order reflection point of my right speaker. I didn't need one on the left because of a curtain. It make a HUGE improvement.

I like your use of many panels. I could only talk the fiancee into letting me hang just the one. You lucky dog, you....

    still at it aye' Petrym?!;)

    How's the job search going?

I haven't yet tried to play a game without using the freecells. I'm now trying to see how fast I can win a game. I did one down around 3 minutes. Didn't actually clock it, but 3 mins. is close.

Freecell is too easy, there is no way I will lose in that game. Try Arachnid/Spider with maximum decks.
